A rich history and robust future
The Ovation riverfront is home to a historic park dedicated in the 1890s. The park replaced the Newport Barracks, an Army outpost no longer needed as the frontier moved west. For many years the park lay hidden behind the flood wall. Ovation changes that with its boardwalk creating a gentle transition from city to green space. Ovation transforms this hidden gem into the most usable riverfront in the region.
